Wow. I've said this before, and I'm sure I'll say it again, several times...
This is really happening!
As time goes on, I've learned:
This is not just coming to be.
No, this is a God thing, and it's coming to BE!
Regardless of how the book does by the world's standards, this is a BIG deal. Because God is in it.
I'm still in awe. God chose me to do this. He provided me with this incredible opportunity to participate in the process of writing, editing, and soon publishing a book. A book that contains words from the deepest recesses of my heart, and is, in essence, my heart on paper, shared to help others not feel so alone and hopeless in present caregiving, past caregiving, future caregiving, or in any dark and difficult journey.
Shout out to Wendy Walters! She's amazing, and we both serve an amazing God. The cover of my book is her design. It's not only gorgeous, it tells my story. Caregiving for me was a combination of various shades of darkness and tumultuous waves, but there were also occasional brief glimpses of light that I held fast to. Looking back after this season ended, I could see the beauty of God's masterpiece, shot through with His glorious brilliance and color.
Wendy listened to my desires for what I wanted the cover of my upcoming book to express, and she ran with it. She came across this watercolor painting what was handpicked by God to be utilized for this purpose. She told me this fabulous book cover is one of the benefits of designing with the Holy Spirit. I believe it!
Wendy has been so wonderful throughout this whole thing. Patient, kind, and understanding. Answering ALL my questions (and there are, and will continue to be, a lot!). Encouraging me all along the way. Knowledgeable, and oh, so helpful. I'm so grateful for the way God orchestrated us getting together through a friend of a friend.
The editing process was complete a month ago, and the publishing process has begun. Launch date is around mid-January, and when I know, you'll know. :)
Thanks for taking the time to check out this post. I hope you'll join me for the next steps of this adventure. I'll keep updating here and on social media.
God is so good!
